Halloween time is here! Well, technically it will be here in a few weeks... but why not go ahead and start planning for that Halloween party now? I know that Halloween is all about candy, candy, and more candy, but I thought why not throw together some healthy Halloween snacks for people to enjoy too?

Here are a few healthy Halloween party snacks to put together for your Halloween festivities!

1. Boo-nanas

You've probably seen this one before, because it is very popular!

You will need:
~3-4 Bananas
~Non-fat plain Greek Yogurt or Non-fat Vanilla Greek Yogurt
~Chocolate chips
~Wooden skewers

How to:
~Peel the bananas then cut them in half
~Stick a wood skewer into each half
~Dip each half into the Greek yogurt
~Add three chocolate chips for the eyes and mouth
~Pop in the freezer!
Voila! So simple, healthy, and yummy!

2. Staw-boo-ries

Pretty much the same concept as the banana, except this time you're using strawberries!

3. Spooky Cheese and Crackers

You need:

~Box of Triscuits or wheat thins
~Low fat cheese
~Black sprinkles for the eyes and mouth
~Exacto knife or spark kitchen knife


How to:
~Arrange the crackers on a tray
~Cut the cheese into slim, square blocks
~Use an Exacto knife or shape kitchen knife to shape the cheese slices into ghosts, pumpkins, and bats.
~Use the black sprinkles to be the eyes and mouth
Another simple and healthy snack!

4. Halloween Fruit Tray

You need:
~Oranges
~Blueberries
~Grapes


How to:
~Arrange the fruit on the tray so that it looks like a Halloween pumpkin!
Seriously doesn't get any easier than that!

5. Mini Monsters

You need:

~Granny smith apples
~Strawberries
~Sunflower seeds
~Peanut butter
~White and dark chocolate


How to:
~Cut the apples into wedges
~Cut out another wedge for the mouth
~Apply peanut butter into the open wedge
~Slice up your strawberries and play a slice in the peanut butter for the tongue
~Arrange sunflowers seeds for the teeth
~Melt your white and dark chocolate
~Apply some into a ziplock bag, cup a tiny hole in the point at the bottom of the bag, and then make the eyes
~Let them cool in the refrigerator

Bonus: Healthy Pumpkin Spice Dip Recipe


Ingredients:
~1/2 cup pumpkin puree
~1 quarter of an 8oz container of fat free or sugar free Whipped Cream
~1 oz Light or fat free creamed cheese
~2 tbsp Instant vanilla or pumpkin pudding mix
~1 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
~1 tsp cinnamon
~Graham crackers, pretzels, apples, etc. for serving

Directions:
~Combine pumpkin puree, whipped topping, softened cream cheese, pudding mix(dry), and spices into a large mixing bowl
~Mix with an electric mixer until thoroughly mixed and smooth
~Serve and enjoy!

Super simple and yummy, and surprisingly not too terrible for you!
