So last week I decided to talk about being healthy at Starbucks. This week, I am talking about being healthy at other places that I frequent! Some are “healthy” and some, well, not so much. But all of them give you some options to stay healthy this summer!
Jamba Juice
If you’re like me, you love smoothies. And you like to think that having a smoothie is healthy. But dieters beware, because smoothies are often packed with sugar. At Jamba Juice, though, you can get smoothies with less calories, fat, and sugar, and you DEFINITELY should, since even those still have lots of sugar!
Order a small and it has 150 Calories, 0 grams of fat and 30 grams of sugar.
McDonalds
Not even gonna lie, McDonalds has to be my secret favorite fast food place. But not everything on their menu is good for trying to fit into my bikini.
My picks: Artisan Grilled Chicken Sandwich, 4-piece Chicken McNuggets or a Fruit n’ Yogurt Parfait
The Artisan Grilled Chicken has only 360 calories and 6 grams of fat, while the 4-piece nuggets have 190 calories and 12 grams of fat. The best snack? The Fruit n’ Yogurt parfait with 150 calories but only 2 grams of fat!
Chipotle
Not gonna lie, it’s pretty hard to eat healthy at Chipotle. If you’re going with friends and don’t want to eat a 1,000 calorie disaster, here is a great burrito bowl order that you don’t have to feel guilty for!
My pick: Chicken Burrito Bowl with black beans, fajita veggies, fresh tomato salsa and cheese! This comes in at only 445 calories with only 16 grams of fat. If you have to have the guac know that it comes with an extra 16 grams of fat, even if it is “healthy fat.”
Panera
Panera is known for being pretty healthy, but you still have to watch it sometimes. The dressings on their salads can really pack a punch so it might be a better option to ask for a different dressing like reduced-fat balsamic vinaigrette!
My pick: A you-pick-two of the Strawberry Poppyseed Salad (with the reduced-fat balsamic vinaigrette) and half of a Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich! This combo only totals 450 calories and 13 grams of fat! You can also swap in half of a Steak and Arugula sandwich if you’re looking for some meat, which comes in at 250 calories and 9 grams of fat!
