I like to challenge myself in different areas of my life whenever I can. Whether it be trying a new diet to see if it makes me feel any different, or try something new that anyone suggests. I'm pretty carefree in that regard.
This summer I decided to try to be vegetarian/pescatarian for a little bit. I hate having to commit to a diet type. Maybe one week, I want to try being a vegetarian, and the next I'm trying Keto because, why not? The diet you choose really does not have to define you. This summer I challenged myself to be able to save on groceries and eat healthy at the same time.
Here are a few products that help me do this:
Soy Chorizo
This is a staple in my house lately. I can make a taco salad, mock chipotle bowl, spaghetti sauce or anything without the guilt or calories!
Plantain Chips
These are seriously the best snack ever. You can crunch them up and put them in salad, or dip them in your fav dip.
Dr. Praeger's California Veggie Burgers
If you're trying to stray away from eating meat but still want protein these are the goat. They use pea protein instead of soy which is so much better for you. Put it on a bun, in a salad, or just by itself for a filling meal.
Avocados
Smashed avocado with Trader Joe's Everything But The Bagel seasoning is the easiest and yummiest breakfast I have ever had.
