For most of us, move-in day is just about one month away. Can you believe it? Before then, take some time for you to get back into a clear, calm mindset. And in three weeks, you'll be ready to hit the ground running.

1. Pick out a book that you can read in a month. And actually stick to reading it.

Pick something that will add something interesting to your reading inventory and provoke some thought.

2. Clean out your closet and donate what you won't wear.

You're going to have to cut down anyways to get everything into a dorm wardrobe anyways.

3. Make plans with a friend you haven't seen in a while.

Believe me, it makes you feel so much better.

4. Clean up your social media accounts.

Good rule of thumb: if you wouldn't talk to them in person, then why do you follow them online? Also unfriend and unfollow anyone whose posts just make you angry, jealous, etc. Why keep putting yourself through that?

5. Write in a journal.

Don't think too much, just write what comes to mind.

6. Practice mindfulness.

What is mindfulness? Check this out: 6 Mindfulness Exercises You Can Try Today

7. Perform a random act of kindness.

I recently read about one great idea where you leave a sticky note on your tray in the dining hall when you bring it to the dish drop at school just saying thank you. I don't know about you, but I love that.

8. Clear the air.

Maybe combine with #3? Actions tend to speak louder than

9. Write a letter (key word: write, not type).

10. Go an entire day without checking social media.

It's HARD but definitely worth it.

11. Search Spotify for playlists you love, and even make a few of your own.

I recommend Discover Weekly, 2000s Pop, Sing-Along: 90s to Now, and Afternoon Acoustic. I complied songs for my own playlist for commuting back and forth to work...best decision ever.

12. Learn something new related to what you are studying in school.

My go to: TED Talks.

13. Learn something new completely not related to your field.

Also my go to: TED Talks.

14. Find a podcast that interests you.

There's literally a podcast for everything.

15. Get outside.

You don't need to be an athlete, just get some fresh air.

16. Go bare faced for a day if you normally wear make up.

It can be pretty empowering.

17. Draft out a morning and night routines.

And then try to stick to them come the new semester.

18. List things that stress you out or make you anxious.

So you know what triggers you.

19. Then, list ways you can relax and calm your nerves.

So you can start to tackle these obstacles.

20. Show support for someone who really needs it.

Because it's just the right thing to do.

21. Be completely spontaneous for entire day.

Just see where it leads you!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
