As the school year begins to get more serious, there is more stress loaded onto the minds of students. From assignments to quizzes and all types of papers, it can be hard to find time for self reflection and meditation. But do not fear, there is an app for that!

Headspaceis an app created for the busy people in this world in order for them to take 10 minutes of their day to themselves. The first 10 days are free, and you are allowed to go back to any day and replay it 100% free. There is a subscription option that unlocks many different guided meditations for different situations in life, and the quirky animations are pastel colored and help visualize what is being taught in the different guided meditations. The 10 minutes a day are easy to accomplish right before bed, or you can even plug in some headphones and listen to it when you have 10 minutes between classes or meetings. I have personally been using it for five days now, and I can for sure say that having those 10 minutes can make a huge difference on how I look at the world.

As I went through each day I became aware that it was easier to let go of the stress and worries of the day with the help of Andy, the voice of all things Headspace. Having those 10 minutes means that I am able to finish homework and projects and just take some time for myself before I went about my day. I usually take my 10 minutes at the end of the day before settling in for the night to watch a YouTube video or two and fall asleep. For me, the 10 minutes at the end of the day has let me use that time to better clear my mind in order to reflect on my day and decide what I think will be important for the next day and the days to follow.

Headspace has been featured many places (TED, NPR, BBC, and so forth), and has received many positive reviews from people of all walks of life. I would like to add to these positive reviews and say that this is an app that just might help you to relieve stress. Although, many claim that guided meditation is not as spiritual or even "real meditation," there is nothing wrong or shameful about having someone guide you in your meditations. If you are on the path to wanting to be able to meditate, but need some guidance, consider giving Headspace a try. Without a subsciption, it is a completly free app and helps to start someone on there path to meditation.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
