Your life until this point has been a journey. That journey has included great moments, tough times, and various other emotions correlated with events. Now, think about where you are at this moment, and how you got here. There is one big reason you are here, and this person has stood by you the entire way.

That is God.

From the second you were born, he had a plan for you. From the second you could walk, he had a plan for you to change lives. From the second you got your first car, he had a plan for you to go and spread the gospel. It is hard to grasp, but whether you grew up in a Christ centered home and went to church or you didn't hear the calling of the Lord until later in your life; he has always wanted you to be a part of his kingdom.

In your past you have done great things, you may have done some bad things, but He has always wanted you, and He knew what was set for you. He was setting the table for you, and the spot was always open, and His plan was always in motion no matter what was happening in your life. In the present, He has continued to work in your life and set you on the path you are on today. Whether you have believed in His teachings until this point or not, He is still in control and He wants nothing more than for you to glorify His name and to go out in the world and let others hear the glory of His name as well. In your future, He will continue to show you His presence in everything in your life. Your job, kids, spouse, cooking recipes, literally everything, God will always be there, whether you want Him to or not, because above all He still wants you, no matter your beliefs. You are His child, and He will always love you.

Run to Him if you haven't already, because He has the tools to equip you to win any battle, any war, any obstacle that stands in your way. Run to Him when it gets tough, but also when it is great in your life. Life won't always be that way so stay humble, be happy, but share your happiness with the Lord because He has brought you to where you are and He will always bring you to the highest of highs, and will be with you in the lowest of lows. The Lord will always love you, He will always have a way to show you the bright side of everything, and you just have to surrender it all to Him and acknowledge that He is the one in control. He wants to use you to make the world even better than your presence already makes it. You weren't born to work, go to school, pay bills, and then die. You were born to make a difference in this world that so desperately needs people to take a stand in the Lord and for Him. He has always had a purpose for you, and the people you meet. You were made to make a difference and He will be there for that and give you everything He can to ensure you are prepared and can do it to the best of your abilities. You are special to a plethora of other human beings in this world, and God has led you to those that think that of you to collectively spread love, joy, and peace through everything you do. You always have to look forward to what He will do in your life next.

Trust in His timing, it will never fail.

Trust in His word, it will never fall.

Trust in Him, he has a plan.

Trust in His desires, because the biggest one of those is you, and that is the biggest decree of love ever. He wants you to show others that He wants them too.

Let's go show the world love through the name of the Lord and change this world for better, shall we?

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
