He Said He Was Sorry, Right?

To the girl who thinks, "sorry" is good enough.

He Said He Was Sorry, Right?

He said he was sorry right?

He promised to never make you cry again.

He said he wouldn't take his anger out on you again.

He said he wouldn't ignore you like that again.

He promised he wouldn't talk to her again.

He said he wouldn't do anything to hurt you again because he "loved" you.

You didn't leave because you hoped he would tell the truth for once but deep down it was easier to stay because you knew how it would turn out.

You knew he'd grab your wrist a little tighter the next time.

You knew he'd call you blaming all of his problems on the fact that you are trying to help him again.

You knew that it wouldn't matter how good you looked or how long it took you to get ready because it still wouldn't be enough.

You knew that while your up until 3 am crying that he would be fast asleep.

You knew that he was still talking to her.

You knew that he could never appreciate you.

You knew that his friends had no problem with you.

You knew that something was weird.

You knew that when he cheated on you that you didn't do anything wrong.

You knew that the pain wouldn't ever be repaired and that he knew he could get away with it again.

You allowed him to destroy you..but why?

For the girls who know exactly what I'm talking about...run.

You know so much.

You are smart.

You are beautiful.

You are beyond extraordinary.

You feel dumb for staying and all of your friends are getting tired of your tears but you're not dumb. You are simply a girl who can see the best in people when they're at their worst..but the thing is…

he doesn't deserve you.

Girls like you deserve the world.

The truth is that..

He puts you down because he knows you're better than him.

He knows you'll always understand.

He knows that you're different.

He knows that someone could love you better than he could ever imagine.

So why would he ever let you walk away?

But that's not love...

I promise.

There is a boy who will look at you like you're the brightest star in the sky.

There is a boy who will laugh at your jokes.

There is a boy who will think you look beautiful without makeup on.

There is a boy who won't judge you.

There is a boy who will push you up instead of drag you down..because when you love someone you want them to feel it.

There will come a day where you see him again and you will still love when he smiles, and for five seconds you'll be drawn back in, but then you will blink and in that millisecond of a moment you will see his face bright red screaming at you. You will remember the feeling in the back of your throat when he told you that you needed to put some makeup on, or when he didn’t want you to be around his friends..or yours.

You will remember what it's like to be controlled...and you’ll reach down for the hand of the boy who loves you unconditionally because through the waves you were drowning in...

you survived.

It does get better because you deserve better and one day you will never have to hear

“I’m sorry”

Ever. Again.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?
