He Is Your President

I don't love him, but we can't change the votes

He Is Your President

I know most are not happy with the outcome of this election, I am not thrilled by any means either, but there is nothing we can do now, so we have to accept it. The jokes about leaving the country if Trump becomes president were all fun and games until he actually became out president-elect. As much as it pains me to think about having a Mr. President Trump, it is now becoming a reality. Trust me, I am just as guilty as the other anti-trump people of not accepting the fact that he is our president and spreading the fear across Facebook and Twitter. When I face a difficult or bad situation, I try to look on the brighter side and find good things in the non-ideal situation. I went through some of the things that Trump plans to do in his first 100 days in office and found a few good things that is planning on doing.

1. Trump plans on getting rid of the corruption in Washington

He wants to implement term limits on Congressmen and women to avoid any one member from always winning the election. He also wants to impose a complete ban on foreign lobbyists raising money for American elections.

2. Trump is planning on working with Congress to introduce some broader legislative measures

He plans on introducing the School Choice And Education Opportunity Act which will relocate education funds to allow parents full choice on how and where to educate their children. It will also eliminate common core and allows the education supervision to be localized. The act will also make 2 and 4 year colleges more affordable.

Trump plans on introducing the Repeal and Replace Obamacare Act. This would replace Obamacare with a Health Savings Accounts, the ability to purchase health insurance across state lines, and it would allow states to manage Medicaid funds. This would also loosen the strings on the FDA and allow lifesaving medications to be legalized.

I know this is not much to look forward to these next four years that Trump will be in office, but it is better than nothing. Hillary Clinton stated that she wants us to come together to work with our next President in order for this country to stay united as one. We have to keep moving forward and allow Trump to show us how he is going to operate in the White House.

We need to stop the protests and riots and the "He is not my President" nonsense. Some people have stated that we let hate win when Trump was elected to be out next President but I say that if we stay together and work with Trump instead of against him, hate will never, ever win.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
