Yes I'm Going Ghost, But This Is Something I Have To Do For Me

We all need distance sometimes.

There are days when people don't want to be bothered. The vibes that are surrounded by them not only trigger isolation but a breather that is vital to their sanity. Life can move faster than our minds sometimes and the only solution for that is separation. This may cause your loved ones and friends to question your loyalty because you've gone ghost, but that's fine. We all need to be selfish sometimes and put ourselves first.

Distance heals the mind, the body, and makes the direction more clear. It's more than beneficial.

1. You can finally relax

If you're like me, you're always on the run. That go-getter mentality is naturally within you but sometimes it's necessary to just have time to actually relax.

2. Focus on what's important

Our minds can easily get bombarded with any and everything. With distance from everyone, we're able to arrange those thoughts and/or ideas that we weren't clear about at first.

3. Learn more about yourself

We never really know ourselves, even if we think we do. We just need to take the time and know more about ourselves that we may not be aware of.

4. Find your purpose

The feeling of being lost has to be the worst feeling ever. Everything that seemed clear is now blurred and that only leads to frustration.

5. You have time now, use it wisely

That agenda that is full of to-do lists, create one distinctly for you.

6. Do something for yourself for once

There's nothing wrong with taking care of others but we need to take care of ourselves as well.

7. Don't feel sorry about it

No one should ever have to apologize for putting themselves first. Even if it means that you have to remove yourself from everything for awhile.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
