We All Have That One Friend

Which friend are you in your group?

You know that in your friend group there's always "that" friend. From the mom of the group, to the one that doesn't know where her left sock is we all have that one friend. Which one are you?

1. The Mom/Dad

You're the friend that types in complete sentences in the group message. You take care of everyone during a night out and you know they would all be completely lost without you. All of your friends are your children, and you protect them when someone hurts them. You're their biggest cheerleader and swell with pride anytime they do something awesome.

2. The Planner

You're the friend that will text the group about going for dinner two weeks in advance. You have four different calendars just to make sure you stay organized. You hate that friend that does everything on a whim because deep down, you wish you could be them. You constantly remind your friend group about the plans you made three days in advance because without you, they'd all forget. And you tell them you're meeting at 8 p.m., when the event doesn't start until 9 p.m., because you know they won't show up until 9:15 p.m. anyways. All your friends love you for this, because they know they'd lose their head without you.

3. The Bad Influence

You're the friend that takes the phrase "if your friend asked you to jump off a cliff, would you do it?" literally. You're the kid that pushes your friends off the cliff. You're always down for a good time, no matter how bad that good time is. You have the ability to turn a super shitty situation into one that looks like rainbows and flowers. All your friends had their lives together until you waltzed into their lives. But don't worry, we still love you.

4. The MIA

You're that friend that no one really knows where you go. When plans are made, you mysteriously disappear and never show up. Or better yet, you show up and disappear right before the important stuff happens. Most of the time you show up just for the food and then disappear until the next group food outing occurs. The mom of the group is constantly worried about your well-being.

5. The A$$hole

You and the Bad Influence are actually best friends within the group. Similar in personality, you two take unnecessary risks, you just find a way to mouth off about it. You don't mean to come across as a jerk, most of the time you just can't help it. Empathy is not your forte. Although you are hated by the majority of the world around you, your friends love you for who you are.

6. The Drama Mama

You're that friend that always has something going on in your life. From family drama to relationship drama to school drama to every other form of drama on Earth, you always got something going on. You know all the gossip, some might even call you the gossip guru. You strangely resemble the Kardashian bloodline. You have your nose in everything, and even though it may come across as annoying, your friends love you.

7. The One That Always Got A Boo

You are that friend that is completely incapable of being alone. You are constantly attached to your boyfriend/girlfriend. Most of the time you miss out on group outings because every night is "date night." When he/she breaks your heart, your friends are the ones that pick up the pieces and put you back together, and they always will.

8. The Overachiever

You're the friend that makes everyone else in the group look bad. You always have to one up everyone. You have to have the better version of every thing and you never buy the cheap version of anything. You brag about how good you are without realizing you're doing it, and for some reason, we still love you for it.

All together, you guys make an awesome group of friends and love each other unconditionally.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
