In actuality, there is much to be excited about. For example, summer is rapidly approaching. For college students, summer is a world of fun and a great opportunity. After what seemed like an eternity, the school year is coming to a close. The daily stresses of juggling schoolwork and God-knows-what-else will finally be over (for the time being). Whether you had a fantastic year, the 4.0 GPA, scored a date with that cutie from your chemistry class, or you had a year ripped straight from a Stephen King novel, it's time to move forward.
Say au revoir to your seasonal depression because the sun will once again be smiling down upon you. Picture this scenario if you will: Your internal clock removes you from your slumber at 8:37 A.M. Your first initial thought: "What have I done? I was supposed to be in class seven minutes ago and this is going be my fourth absence. I'm totally screwed." It takes only half of a second to realize that you're not in your dorm-room. YOU'RE HOME IN YOUR BED AND IT'S SUMMER! Back to sleep you go, until 11:30 comes around and it's time to have fun. You gather your best friends and make your way to either lunch, the beach, or wherever your hearts desire.
This summer, many college students will be venturing of to an unfamiliar realm known as "The Real World." As frightening as they may be, jobs and internships are the foot in the door of the future. Who want's to be stuck in mom's basement forever? Although this option is EXTREMELY tempting, it will lead you to the life of a washed-up 40-year-old with nothing to offer.
