Many people think that girls can't have boy best friends because they will end up falling for them. Sometimes that's the case, but not all the time. I have a guy best friend because he gives me a man's perspective on different issues that are happening in my life. He gives me advice about how to deal with all the men in my life, and that's very helpful. I think of my guy best friend as a big brother. He's there for me in a way that no one else has been.
I do NOT have romantic feelings for my best friend. My best friend and I have had many emotional conversations, but at the end of the day they don't change anything in our friendship. I know I can go to him for anything that's been happening in my life and he will give me an unbiased opinion. Not only does he give me an unbiased opinion, but he gives me a non-emotional opinion. My best friend is more than a best friend, he's like a brother. He may drive me crazy and make me mad at him, but at the end of the day he would take a bullet for me and for that I am forever grateful. Having a boy as a best friend was the best thing I have ever done and I'm glad to not only call him my best friend, but my "little" brother.
