Hattiesburg Hotties Of 2019

There's a lot to be said for a guy who's doing well for himself AND looking good while doing it. From hard working up and coming musicians to hot professional football players, Hattiesburg, MS has A LOT to offer as far as looks and talent go. So, girls, this one's for you.

1. Adam Doleac

Kate Dearman

There's something about a man who can belt out a nice strong country song AND look good while doing it. If you're a fan of country music and love new, strong songs with meaningful lyrics, Adam Doleac's music is just for you. A rising country music star from Hattiesburg, MS, Adam has already been flying rapidly up through the charts. One of his biggest supporters is Sirius XM, and in 2017 he was a featured artist on the Highway Finds Tour. He has also snagged a publishing deal with Sony/ATV and has co-written songs for a wide range of major country artists like Darius Rucker and Kane Brown, just to name a few.

2. Tyler Dickerson

Another singer from Hattiesburg, Tyler found fame on the popular TV show The Voice where he performed Hard To Handle and was chosen by Blake Shelton. Tyler signed a recording contract with Lyric Street Records and now sings in the Louisiana based band Rockin Rouge. Plus LOOK at that hair.

3. Austin Davis

Starting as a walk-on at Southern Miss, Austin became a starter a year later. I don't know about you, but I love a guy who knows how to work for what he wants. Currently an offensive assistant coach for the Seattle Seahawks, he's had quite the run, and in 2007 he ended his season at Southern Miss with 15 school records and in 2008 a victory in the New Orleans Bowl.

4. Nick Mullens

Another former Southern Miss football player, Nick Mullens broke Brett Favre's record with a whopping 38 touchdown passes and a total of 4,476 passing yards in 2015, AND he looked good while doing it. Can't beat that. Nick is now a quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers.

Like I said earlier, Hattiesburg isn't lacking any talent OR good looks. Now, if you'll excuse me I'm going to start watching football.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
