I know I'm not the only one, but I absolutely hate dressing up, like, for almost anything. Some people thrive on looking their very best every day, and you know, that's great for them, but me, I can't stand dressing up. I mean, who would really choose to spend their day in a dress that they have to keep pulling down and a pair of heels that cause their feet to hurt every time they stand up or walk over yoga pants and an over sized tee shirt?
While everyone dressed up and looked presentable the first day of class, there was me over there in the corner rocking my yoga pants and quarter zip jacket.

Dressing up is not only too much work, it can be highly uncomfortable. I don't know about you, but when I'm in class, if my jeans are too tight or my shoes don't fit me right, I just can't seem to focus. So the real message here is that dressing comfortably in your workout clothes might actually be better for your grades (wink, wink).
I know it's bad that I don't like dressing up, seeing how I'm going to school to become a teacher where I'll have to dress up every. single. day. (currently crying thinking about the dress pants and blazers), but you know what, it's college. Live a little by not worrying about what you look like and rock those leggings and boots to class. If I'm going to sit in a classroom for hours upon hours, then I'm going to do it while being comfortable.
Honestly, I just don't see the point in dressing up. I get that it looks professional, but what does my appearance have to do with the quality of my work? If I'm doing my job and completing it correctly and on time, then who cares if I'm sitting there in comfortable clothes rather than a suit?
Oh, and another thing, dress clothes are so expensive. I really don't understand that because, honestly, it's covering the same amount of body as anything else would, maybe even less. So if this is the case, why does it cost so much money?! Trust me, spending your days in (acceptable) lounge wear will not only save you time and comfort, but in the long run, your bank account will thank you too.
Lounge clothes are just so much more practical in my opinion. I can go to bed in them, workout in them, and do school work in them. This is what saves you so much time, I don't have to worry about changing for my next activity that's different than my previous one, it's so great!
Next time you look at someone and think that they're not put together because they're wearing leggings to class, stop and think about something. Maybe this person enjoys comfortable clothes, maybe they're in them in their 8 a.m. class because they were up late studying for the test and didn't have time to pick out an outfit.
If you like dressing up I don't judge you at all. In fact, I'm impressed that you can do all that in the morning and remain comfortable all day. But the comfy life is the lifestyle for this girl!
