When it comes to Harry Styles, your mind instantly goes to that "old boy-band" One Direction. Branching out on his own since the band's hiatus, Harry has made a tremendous effort to show his true colors-and lets just say they are all under the rainbow.

Lets start with his music. Harry has released one album, self titled, with ten songs. I've sat down and listened to this album on repeat until everything blended into one big song. But being able to listen to this album, and the two added songs on tour (Anna and Medicine) we see a glimpse into who Harry really is. He is genuine. He is bold. He is someone who will continue to believe in you until the end of time. And aside from having a catchy tune, he writes some truly beautiful lyrics that never cease to inspire.

Harry is an avid believer in being who you truly are. He wants you to be the person you believe you can be. He encourages fans to embrace their sexuality, gender, and ethnicity. From dancing with pride flags to even commenting that he doesn't feel the need to label his own sexuality, Harry never fails to make sure that every fan feels they are welcome in his world. That his concerts are a safe, loving space for everyone. Just last week during his performance at United Center he remarked "In this room, please be whoever you want to be. You are free".

Harry also is also a supporter of several crucial movements that frequently make headlines. He makes sure to show that he is in support of the Black Lives Matter and End Gun Violence movements, from a simple few stickers on his guitar, to defying security to get his hands on a BLM flag during his shows. He is a part of the movements that are changing our lives- and they are changing his too. He is helping us lead the way to change, and inspiring his own audience to get involved.

And lastly, Treat People With Kindness. Treat People With Kindness is one of Harry's many iconic sayings and is also the charity campaign that is being run through his tour. His website writes "Visit the merchandise stand at each Harry Styles Live On Tour date for an exclusive Treat People With Kindness hair tie set. All of Harry's profits from these purchases, as well as a portion of ticket sales, will be donated to various local charities from his tour stops around the world." He is giving to those who cannot give themselves. Knowing that he has the ability to draw in a large audience, this charity campaign gives the perfect opportunity to give back to the fans by performing, and give back to the world by donating part of the profits to those in need.

I know that Harry Styles isn't for everyone, and there will always be people out there that frown upon his music, or maybe even his person in general. But I hope that after (maybe) giving his album a listen and reading about his encouragement of fans and his love for the world and everything in it, some of you might just think twice. Because he's started something, and there's no stopping it now.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
