For all my Harry Styles fangirls out there.

1. August 2017 — Optimistic

My 20th birthday is this month. What do 20-year-old girls typically want as gifts? Lululemon, Adidas shoes, or perhaps a camera. Me? I wanted Harry Styles' concert tickets. After 7 years of not only being a 1D fan but a "Harry girl", a Harry Styles solo tour was a dream come true… I only have to wait 10 months for the concert.

2. June 2018 — Eager

After the longest 10 (!!!) months of my life, the countdown to the concert begins. I cannot believe it is finally June. I can see the concert venue from my office and it just feels like a tease. I wonder what my thoughts will be when I'm looking out this window the day after the concert.

3. The Day Before The Concert — Panicked

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO WEAR. Less than 24 hours till I see a demigod and I have not picked out my outfit. I feel so unprepared. I've been waiting for this day for so long, but I am shocked now that it is here.

4. The Morning Of The Concert — Energized

No need for coffee because today is the DAY! I've got a pep in my step and there's not a THING that can bring my mood down. I'm whistling at work and holding doors for strangers and treating people with KINDNESS is the honor of the motto of sweet angel Harry.

5. The Afternoon Of The Concert — Impatient

How many hours are between me and the love of my life? Too many. That's how many. I am sitting at my desk tapping my foot as I have been doing the entire afternoon. My mood kind of tanked after lunch due to impatience. This suspense is killing me.

6. The Evening Of The Concert — Content

I go through the VIP check-in line and get my keepsake bag. It has a CD and lanyard and other cute things. Meeting Harry would have been cuter. I wait in line to get my t-shirt. I'm going to wear it every day from now on. I've passed all the time I can, so I go find my seat.

7. 30 Minutes Till Showtime — Surprised

When I get to my seat on the floor of the venue find that I am sitting right next to what looks like a barricaded aisle. This can only mean one thing: I'm going to touch Harry Styles. I make friends with the security guard manning the barricade. He tells me that I was correct. Harry was going to run down the aisle during the eighth song. Oh, My GOD!!!!

8. Showtime — Anxious

The Opening Act entertained me for a while. Harry chose a country artist. I'm surprised, but also wonder if he's picking on us Texans? I have plenty of time to wonder this as I watch a replay of a video of Harry trying to solve a Rubix cube. I think I could have solved it myself by now!!!

9. 9:15 pm — Thrilled

The Rubix cube FINALLY solved itself. The lights just went out. And the energy is CONTAGIOUS. I feel like I just shotgunned a Red Bull. The screens are lifting and there is a lone figure standing behind a mic stand in a pink tailored suit. It's Harry FREAKING Styles.

10. 9:30 pm — Surreal

AHHHH!!!! Oh my GOD!!!!!! OMG. OMG. OMG. AHHHHH!!!!!!! AHHHH!!!!! HARRY!!!!!!! OMG. OMG. OH MY GOD!!!! AHHH!!!!!!!!!

11. 9:45 pm — Grateful

Harry is shortly about to walk down the aisle past where I am standing. What did I do to deserve a blessing like this?? How did I end up with this aisle seat? I am determined this was an act of God. He intervened in the best interests of my happiness.

12. 10:00 pm — Enchanted

HARRY STYLES IS A FEW FEET FROM ME. HE IS WALKING TOWARDS ME. HE IS IN FRONT OF MY FACE OH MY FREAKING GOD. HE JUST FIST BUMPED THE SECURITY GUARD THAT I'M TOUCHING ELBOWS WITH. HE LOOKED AT ME. EYE CONTACT. EYE CONTACT!!!!!

13. 10:15 pm — Infatuated

I think my jaw is still dropped and there are five sure tears still in my eyes. He is now singing my favorite song off the final One Direction album. I think my heart is going to burst. I am in LOVE and I don't CARE who knows it.

14. 10:30 pm — Proud

I am watching Harry dance around on the main stage and recording him with my phone. I can not help but be proud. The last time I was in this venue I was watching One Direction and now Harry sold out the entire venue as a SOLO ARTIST. Incredible. Just incredible.

15. 10:45 pm — Bittersweet

He's playing the last song. I am feeling that indescribable state of emotion in which you are the happiest you have ever been but could also cry because it's about to be over… Have you ever felt that way?? Tell me I'm not crazy. Except for Harry Styles.

16. 11:00 pm — Shook

What. A. Concert. What a night!!! I am sitting in traffic in a parking lot bopping to some throwback One Direction. And I have never been more content. I am also bouncing off the walls. I do not think I will ever come down from the high that is Harry Styles live.

17. Midnight — Blissful

Laying down to go to sleep and I am convinced at this moment in time that everything is right in the world. How could it possibly not be right now with how full my heart is?

I love you, Harry Styles.

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

As this semester wraps up, students can’t help but be stressed about finals. After all, our GPAs depends on these grades! What student isn’t worrying about their finals right now? It’s “goodbye social life, hello library” time from now until the end of finals week.
