If Harry Potter Characters Went To BU

Harry Potter:

Harry would be that guy who introduces himself to other freshmen sitting alone in the dining hall and helps a stranger chase down the BU Shuttle so they aren’t late for their next class. He’d wear his school sweatshirt everywhere and shock everyone by scoring the winning goal in the Beanpot tournament.

Ron Weasley:

I feel like Ron would find his niche as a part of one of the improv groups on campus like Liquid Fun. Fred and George would invite him to check out one of their shows and he would discover a love for the spotlight and making people laugh.

Hermione Granger:

Hermione’s that freshman who goes to SPLASH and signs up for 32 different clubs. Somehow manages to attend every single meeting while balancing a double major in CAS and SED. During finals week she can be found asleep in Mugar beneath a pile of encyclopedias.

Draco Malfoy:

Draco’s parents sent him to BU with the warmest Canadian Goose jacket money could buy because they were worried about those rough New England winters. His Slytherin ambition would make him a perfect fit at Questrom School of Business. He’d also be super annoyed that only upperclassmen are allowed to live in Stuvi 2.

Luna Lovegood:

Luna is the epitome of a CFA student. Eccentric and unique, Luna channels all her creativity into a painting or theatre major. In her free time she can be found distributing copies of The Quibbler in the lobby of the GSU.

Cedric Diggory:

Cedric is for sure the Hockey team’s star player. He has his own custom cheer and is already being scouted by the NHL. A super friendly guy who helps give tours on prospective students’ weekends. Would also unironically use the phrase “West is Best”.

Ginny Weasley:

Ginny would adore the exciting atmosphere of going to school in a major city. She’d hit Fit Rec every morning before attending classes in COM in order to become a famous broadcast journalist.

Neville Longbottom:

Freshmen year Neville was always worried about getting lost on such a big campus, so he downloaded the app for the T on his phone and had a few friends from his floor show him around Boston. Helps write and send out the Sustainability Newsletter every week.

Remus Lupin:

Lupin would most often be found cozying up with a book and a giant cup of coffee at Pavement. As a senior, he’d definitely be that amazing TA who the entire class likes more than the actual professor.

Bellatrix Lestrange:

Bellatrix is that one girl in your morning discussion who constantly gets into passionate arguments with everyone about the reading, including the professor. Probably has her sights set on law school. Bella also gets into some crazy Friday night brawls in Allston and bails before the BUPD shows up.

Fleur Delacour:

Fleur’s that gorgeous international student with a killer brand name wardrobe who struts down Comm. Ave. like it’s a runway. Fluent in multiple languages, Fleur applies to a ton of study abroad programs and cultural clubs.

Sirius Black:

Sirius Black is totally that dude in the GSU who’s always playing the grand piano. You know the one who acts like he’s so into the music that he didn’t even notice the small crowd gathered around to watch? Yeah, he’s that guy. Would most likely have a sweet off-campus apartment in Brookline for Marauder-related shenanigans.

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.
