Certainly, out of every 10 people, when Harry Potter is mentioned, 8 turn their heads and talk about their House pride. The other 2, meanwhile, are Muggles. Now that The Cursed Child and Fantastic Beasts are out, I've dedicated my time to re-read the series again to find a new love for the boy who lived; beneath the world of wand flickering and flying in brooms, lies one of the most imaginative stories ever written, with characters whose strong traits grow into us and teach us about everything from standing up for our beliefs, how to be brave when the world is at a landslide, and even how to cope with the loss of our loved ones.
Here are a few of those:
“Words are, in my not so humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic, capable of both influencing injury, and remedying it.” –The Deathly Hallows
"It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live." - The Sorcerer's Stone
“We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.” –The Goblet of Fire
"We are all human, aren’t we? Every human life is worth the same, and worth saving.” – Harry Potter The Deathly Hallows
"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean it is not real?" - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
"Things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, if not always in the way we expect." - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
"Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if only one remembers to turn on the light." - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
“If you want to know what a man’s like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals” – Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
“Dark and difficult times lie ahead. Soon we must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy.” – Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
“Just because you have the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn’t mean we all have.” – Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
