It's putting your best pen-to-paper writing, and having dried up ink that won't bleed rivers of words on the paper.
It seems like Mercury is in retrograde, transparent words are all that can appear on empty paper. Finding that oasis in the inspiration-less desert is difficult, but not impossible.
When I can't think of anything to write, that's when I know I've been disconnected. I haven't read books, listened to music, listened to people in passing to hear words that inspire me to write about the blood of the sunset in the ocean, the smell of the air after rain, or the feeling of being completely calm in the midst of total chaos.
I always highlight the lines that reverberate through my body, like the bass from a stereo. I'll let the words ring and settle into my bones with a gentle strength that I can recall when needed.
Write like your favorite poet, emulate someone else's voice and morph it into your own that way.
Push your boundaries and explore yourself before writing. Write while you do it.
Perform periodic introspection to see what you really think of when you're not really thinking.
Get lost in your mind.
Take those whatever words come to mind and string them together into one coherent thought. Glue that thought to your next idea. Cut and crop it until it's just how you want it, because now, you've overcome writer's block.
