The recent college admissions scandal has prompted an appreciation and reflection. I'm going to keep this brief because I feel like there isn't much to say. However, I feel like the incident has allowed me to recognize the hard work and resilience necessary to merit a college education.
If anything, the admissions scandal has reminded me of the dedication I invested into my academic, athletic and artistic pursuits. For a long time, I feel I lost sight of what it took to get to where I am today. However, this incident reintroduced the notion of how much time and resilience were invested into my future.
These recent events emphasize the importance in merit and worth. Regardless of the circumstance, when you do something the right way, and the best way, it always trumps cutting corners and cheating. I will always try to be the best version of myself.
