The wait is up! Hard Summer Music Festival has dropped their 2017 lineup on virtually every social media platform. If you haven't seen the neon green lineup flyer yet, you have missed out on a whirlwind of performers. Headliners include DJ Snake, Rae Sremmurd, Justice, and Zeds Dead for day one, and Snoop Dogg, Dog Blood, Bassnectar, and Migos for day two. With over 100 different acts, there is bound to be at least one performer you will enjoy at Hard Summer.
Featuring both hip-hop and electronic dance music artists, Hard Summer is a middle ground for anyone in the trap, hip-hop, or electronic scene. My favorites from the immense lineup are as follows: for the electronic scene make sure to check out Oshi, A-Trak, and Kayzo on Saturday, and Baauer, Bassnectar, and Lookas on Sunday. For the hip-hop scene, check out Skepta, E-40, and Rae Sremmurd on Saturday, and Migos, Tinashe, and Mike Will Made It on Sunday. Along with my twelve favorite performers, there are a ton of other jaw-dropping appearances, including two throwbacks to celebrate the 10 year anniversary.
Not only will Snoop Dogg be performing in his old school “Doggy Style," but Dog Blood, the duo of Skrillex and Boys Noize, will be coming together live for the first time since 2015. Bringing back Snoop’s old school style, and Skrillex and Boys Noize’s dynamic duo, are the cherries on top of this big lineup sundae. If you’re looking to buy tickets for the festival, they went on sale via hardfest.com on Friday, April 28 with two day tickets starting at $129 before fees.
Check out the Hard Fest website for more details about this festival along with other Hard events. For all of you attending this year’s festival, I will see you there! Make sure not to miss out on the Dog Blood reunion, it is guaranteed to be a history-making performance.
