You smelled of sadness in your room,
I breathed you in and felt peace.
The rain poured grey light in our loom,
I tangled myself in your sheets to freeze.
A walk outside to calm dull empty tears,
Is my true only comfort in midnight hours.
The lack of feeling scares the heart to not appear,
You ran away from passion my coward.
I know every move prior but the pain remains,
The red petals will fall for darkened flowers.
The essence nature gives is most fulfilling in rain;
When plants grow at dawn in dewy showers.
Spirit must be wild to thrive against the lions who bite,
No animal can survive the woman that is night.
