It’s that time of the year again: spring! To me, spring is the happiest time of the year. Full of bliss, new beginnings and positive vibes, there’s no doubt this season is the season of change. I tend to believe everyone is their happiest during springtime, and I believe that is because of spring cleaning.
Spring cleaning doesn’t have to be the cleaning of your home or closet, it can be the cleaning of your life, too. Clean out the negative energy you may have in your life, and replace it with good energy that is sufficient enough to make you a happier individual.
Here are five things you can get rid of during your spring cleaning:
1. Negative people.
It’s time to cut out that one bad friend that you are holding onto for whatever reason. Negative people cause negative vibes! You don’t want that during the most beautiful season of the year. Its OK to let go.
2. Bad habits.
This one comes in many different forms for many different people. Now is your time to rid of those nasty habits and start better, healthier ones.
3. Self-hatred.
It’s time to stop being so hard on yourself! Start this spring off with a positive outlook on yourself. Take time to learn to love yourself and accept yourself for who you are. There is only one you.
4. Putting other peoples needs before yours.
Being selfish is OK! Sometimes you need to think of yourself. Living your life to please others will not get you anywhere and will not make you happy at all! Put your happiness and needs before anyone else’s.
5. Not living your life to the fullest.
We are blessed with one life and one life only. Do the best you can to make it the best life yet! This spring, don’t let consequences (unless they’re actually illegal/life ruining) stop you. Live your life in a way that allows you to look back and say, “Man, I’m glad I did that.” Try something new, make new friends and apply yourself in a way that you were too scared to do before.
Since spring is here, I’m going to be ridding away of my negative energies and replace them with positivity. Be happy, be thankful and be excited to embark on this fresh, clean, new journey that is spring!
