We can all agree that this year has been major from a political standpoint. There are many different arguments and disagreements going on, and both sides have a very stubborn and outspoken opinion. It is almost to the point where I cannot keep up with each and every different argument that is going on. However, me, being the optimist that I always have been, is happy to see all of the disagreements going on.
America has always been a place where people have the right to their own opinions. The very famous "freedom of speech" phrase is practiced by all U.S. citizens on a daily basis. More times than many, people take this privilege for granted. Very much so. There are so many other countries in the world that do not even let people speak their opinions. At all. That is not something that we think about very often, but it needs to be. We are lucky to live in a place that allows us to be creative, unique individuals with our own beautiful minds and thoughts.
Many people think that the political conflicts are simply annoying and that people just need to "shut up" about their opinions and simply face the reality of the now. Shut up? Really? In the land of the free and the home of the brave, you are trying to tell me to "shut up" because our opinions may clash? Absolutely not. Will not happen. Ever. All of this debating and marching and "Make America Great Again-ing" is actually unbelievable.
The amount of people, young people to be exact, that care so much about our country and its future is absolutely incredible. Even people that are not even of age to vote are very active in politics lately. The passion and effort that both sides of politics are making are making records worldwide.
So the next time that you see a post on social media about the election, take the time to read it. We are so fortunate to even have the opportunity to compare and contrast different viewpoints. Give respect and gain respect. God bless America! Have a fantastic week everyone.
