Today is the BEST day ever. Do you want to know why?

IT'S NATIONAL PASTA DAY!!

It seems like everyday there is something to celebrate. A few examples include national pizza day, national boyfriend day, and national dog day. Most of these "national holidays" do not seem to have any reason or truth behind them, but this does not stop people from celebrating them. I know I definitely posted a picture of my cat for national cat day. The trend behind these holidays seem to be talked about the most on Twitter & Instagram. Even on food holidays some restaurants are giving out special deals for what ever holiday is being celebrated. (Check out some pasta related deals here.)

These holidays seem to be made up and maybe there are but they bring people joy. Whether it is telling the world that is the day to celebrate your favorite food or national farmers day (yes that is a real thing) it makes people feel like they are sharing a part of themselves with the world

.

I, for one, LOVE pasta, or anything that is a carb or bad for me. I am so glad that there is a day for the love of my food life: pasta. Seriously, ever since I was a little girl, if you asked me what my favorite food was I would always say spaghetti with meat sauce. Finally there is a day to celebrate the worlds best food. It sure makes me miss Italy, because if you think you've had good pasta in America then your mind will be blown once you reach the great country of Italy. I highly suggest celebrating this day with your favorite pasta dish and if you are gluten free, then try spaghetti squash- it's actually pretty good!

Now, go off and eat Italy's gift to the world!

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
