Daylight Saving's has struck once again, and although we all need a little more sunshine in our lives, what we really need is some shut-eye.
Sure, an extra hour of daylight is awesome, and in time most of us will grow to love that extra hour, but as for now, our eyes are burning and our jaws are dropping from continuous yawning. Lucky for us, the world recognizes today as National Napping Day, so what better way to celebrate the special day with our very own idea of the perfect nap!
It doesn't matter who you are or where you'll be napping today just as long as your eyes are closed.
If you're a high school or college student, nap! C'mon, we all do it anyway. At least today we have an excuse for our extreme exhaustion. Sport a hat; wear it low, and close those eyes! And if your instructor has anything to say about it, guide him/her to their preferred nook. Tiredness causes grumpiness in all of us (including our professors), and together we can eliminate the problem with a good ole doze!
If you're a parent, nap. Collect your children; lay them down, and take some much-needed time to rest. Who says National Napping Day can't encourage a little bonding time, too? There's no better day to snuggle your little bug than today, so have at it.
If you're working today, you deserve a nap, too! There's no harm in appreciating the day's title by arranging a small nap into your busy schedule. After all, you're just as tired as the rest of us! To you, Daylight Saving's may sound a little scary: another hour added to the workday. But, the good news is you are fully qualified for a snooze every now and again.
Even if your plans for the day already include a nap, add an extra 20 minutes to that thing! Today is the day made for naps; don't waste the opportunity.
Happy National Napping Day, everyone. May your nap be ever in your favor!
