Dear Mom,
The first thing I want to say is thank you. But that does not say enough. That doesn’t make up for all you have done for me. I can’t begin to name the things you have given me over the years. For all the love, support, and wonderful memories - thank you and thank you again. You truly are underrated, and I definitely take you for granted (and I am sorry for that). In addition to teaching so many wonderful things, you passed on your values, morals, and beliefs which I could not be more grateful for. You have sculpted me into who I am, and if I can be half as kind, beautiful, funny, loving, caring, and motherly as you then I will be content.
It is hard to know what to say to someone when they have given you everything you have ever wanted, or asked for. It is hard to make up for all the things you have done for me... all the sporting events, all of the lessons, and all of the tears: you have been there. Mom, thank you. I have never met someone who has worked harder than you. Thank you for all the times you went without so that I could have silly things or that brand new baby blue bike. You are my rock and my best friend. Even though we fight sometimes, I will always love you.
With lots of love,
Ella Dayssi
