The second best holiday of the year is just around the corner, your birthday! Seeing as this fabulous day only comes once a year, you have to do it big and who relates better to your birthday than "The Real Housewives."

1. It's finally your birthday!

2. You anxiously await it being 12:00 a.m. to see who will be the very first person to wish you a happy birthday.

3. When you wake up and are "surprised" by all of the attention that your family and friends are giving you.

4. You try to play it cool like today is just another day, but in reality you can't keep it together.

5. You spend countless hours making yourself look fabulous because, after all, the day is about YOU.

6. If you're out and see someone who looks even slightly better than you, you will 100 percent be giving her a dirty look or two.

7. You patiently await all of your BFFl's sappy Instagram posts about you.

8. Your parents invite too many relatives over who are still into kissing you on the lips.

9. Since you're classy, you pretend like you read every single card when in reality, you just stare at the amount of cash in the card.

10. You start thinking of a million things that you could buy with your birthday money.

11. You are secretly mad at the one "best friend" who has yet to wish you a happy birthday on Twitter.

12. You remember that your friends planned this lavish birthday dinner for you.

13. When your friends decide to take you out to dinner and you instantly remember that one friend who had "previous commitments."

14. Like my birthday has only been the same day since you've known me, how dare you have other plans.

15. Since your diet doesn't count on this holiday, you make sure you get dessert

16. It's 11:59 p.m. and that one friend still hasn't wished you a happy birthday.

17. You wake up the next morning and go "only 365 more days until the best holiday."

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
