How hard is to just be happy? So now that the growth of money is growing and we love money are we happier? Although there is an increase in the financial status of the newer generations, were no happier than those before us. The study of depression and anxiety go hand and hand. Although they are opposites of one another research has concluded that they both fall along the lines of our conscious emotions. Studies have shown those who live every day without planned actions are happier than those who plan every future event before its time.

However, what can we do to be happy? It solely lies in the genetic and biological make-up of the person being affected. There is a way to be significantly happier than you are. Not setting goals in stone. Yes, it's ok to know what you want to do, but pressuring yourself to do things at a set time makes it no better on your end. Keeping all objectives in the present creates a notable difference in your happiness. Doing things for someone other than yourself can benefit your joy. Volunteer work, for example, can bring happiness, because knowing that you’ve helped someone else gives you a feeling of fulfillment. Not doing the same thing all the time also plays a major part in your happiness status. Being able to predict every day as If you’re reliving the same day over and over isn’t the ideal situation. Imagine happiness as a state in which you’re filled with joy. It’s like getting a month long paid vacation time from work. That’s how you should think of happiness. Not something you must do to get the full fulfillment of being “Happy”.

The way you look at life also determines your happiness’. The difference between optimistic people and pessimistic people. Of course, we know Optimistic; hopeful and confident about the future, and Pessimistic; tending to see the worst of things or believing the worse will happen. Also, to be happy, you should practice not associating happiness with your goals. This is because when your goals are not met your happiness projects this emotion. People who focus on conquering a goal that they’ve created for themselves are not as happy as those who don’t. Just go with the flow, and do as you please always!

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
