Now I know you aren't big on social media. You don't use Facebook or Instagram, and you refuse to form into society's brainwash BUT... I hope you find a way for this one. I believe you deserve the world's greatest shout out a girl can give.

Happy anniversary to the biggest part of my heart and my best friend. We've been through it all together. It all started a little over three years ago when you spotted the young and naive version of myself. Now I never believed in love at first sight, but boy you stole my heart real quick. It was a shocker and I refused to fall into the norm, but it happened. I knew these things called feelings were developing and there was no turning back now. I never thought in a million years a boy like you would love a girl like me, but it happened.

After that first date in NYC, I felt it was right. The first year was the best year of my life. I found a best friend and a companion who was ready to venture out the world with me. Leaving for school was never easy because I knew it meant being many miles away. Years later we still stand, and I could not be happier.

You're the mac to my cheese, the peanut to my jelly, the Kanye to my Kim, and the list could go on forever. You are the one person who is down to raid the movie theater for the newest movies of the week, the one to take random road trips for weird adventures, and the one to hold my hair back on the toilet. Now I know I don't ever make things easy for you. Being away I can be of annoyance because the distance kills. I may not say the right things all the time or do the best things, but let me tell you when I say I love you.

I couldn't be more grateful for a boy like you, someone who loves unconditionally. You sacrifice so much for me and I could not thank you enough. I want nothing but greatness for you, and to have success for the future. I want you to carry on the biggest smile that you always do. Keep being the rad dude that I fell in love with because your carefree living is what keeps me going. Cheers to three years with my best friend. I can't wait for the Europe adventures that await, and the many years to come.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
