Happiness is Attainable

Happiness can be found in so many different places in so many different ways, and each time a new happiness is found, it will be different too. Depending on who and what is involved in your happiness, it is bound to be changed.

Some people come into your life with the intention to make you happy forever and ever, but that happiness ends up being short lived. Others will come into your life and genuinely mean it when they say it and they will stick around for the long-run.

Personally speaking, I have met some wonderful people who have been with me for as long as I could remember. I can find happiness within them because they're reliable and always know how to make sure I am content with my life.

The people who have come in and out of my life gave me temporary happiness, until they decided to leave and take their happiness with them. You have to go through this in life in order to understand it fully.

Unfortunately, the people who leave will leave you upset for a little while, and that's all fair but others can never dictate your happiness. I really cannot stress enough how depending on someone else for happiness if never the way to go. You have to find happiness within yourself and then you're set and things in life will be much more smooth.

On a more positive note, there are people that will show up into your life a little later than the rest, which is definitely okay since meeting new people is fun. They will make you forget about all the unhappiness that you have felt before, and you will feel like you're on cloud nine. Although with these people, it's sometimes hard to tell if they'll stick around, you think and hope that they will because the happiness found within them is a rarity and needs to be cherished at all costs.

You have to believe within yourself that happiness is in this world, but you also cannot expect it from everyone. The amount of happiness will fluctuate constantly, but at the end of the day you have yourself to be grateful and happy for, and that says a lot.

Moral of this story is that happiness is found wherever you may look. Most of the time it's super unexpected and found in the weirdest of places, but all of the types of happiness are worth it.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
