Since November 9th we haven’t been able to escape the reality that our new president is Donald Trump. Every news station, social media platform, and person is obsessing over the results so as a little break from the chaos here are some timely topics to lighten the Trump conflicts umbrellaing over our country:

1. Christmas is just over a month away and all the shops are starting to play Christmas music and put out all their decorations which bring up everyone’s spirit.

2. Brexit might not actually happen which is positive politics because alliances and unity are great.

3. The Waitaki district council of Oamaru Harbour, Otago in New Zealand built a 80 foot tunnel to protect penguins from traffic and that’s adorable.

7. It’s still football season so we still have a reason to love Sundays

8. It’s getting colder so we can wear fuzzy socks

9. In September, Sri Lanka was declared malaria free and that’s incredible

10. There’s always puppies and kittens in the world being born

11. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are so soon and there’s going to be so many good deals!

14. Starbucks Peppermint Mochas are back

15. No matter what happens in this new presidency there will always be good and love in the world, and so many more than 15 things to be happy about.
