So many emotions went through my head as I started my first day of college just a few days ago. I found myself reflecting back on my childhood, and most importantly, my favorite television show: "Hannah Montana." Amazingly, so many songs that related to my life as a kid still relate to me now as I enter the world of college. Here are a few of those songs:

1. "Ready, Set, Don't Go."

This one is for all the parents. You know she's "gotta do what she's gotta do," even if there's no room for you to tag along.

2. "Wherever I Go."

Again to the parents and childhood friends, "we might be apart but I hope you always know, you'll be with me, wherever I go."

3. "Life's What You Make It."

"So let's make it rock"....by going to college and having a career!

4. "We Got the Party."

FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) is a real thing in college. "Why hang around when you could be all over the place?"

5. "This is The Life."

"Hold on tight" to the days you get to wear pajamas to class every day!

6. "I Got Nerve."

When you walk into class with 400 students for the first time and don't head straight for the back!

7. "The Climb."

There will always be times you feel lost and without any direction, but it's important to remember that the journey or "climb" is what this learning process is all about.

8. "True Friend."

The best thing about college is the potential to find life-long best friends to "pull me aside when something ain't right" or "talk with me now and into the night."

9. "Nobody's Perfect."

"You live and you learn it!" Enough said.

10. "He Could Be the One."

What you think of every cute guy you pass on the way to class.

11. "Rockstar."

When you write a 10-page paper in one night.

12. "Who Said."

Who says you can't become the next great fashion designer, astronaut, talk show host, or president?

13. "You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home."

No matter where life takes you, there really is no place like home.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
