As a fan of Pokémon and all Game Freak's games in general, I am very thankful to the developer for all the wonderful handheld role-playing games that you have made available for me to play, allowing me to experience what it's like to catch my own Pokémon and train them to be the very best. From Red Version and Blue Version to Sun and Moon, their latest games, Game Freak'sPokemon games have all been fun and engaging. They gave us players one Pokémon to start with and allowed us to continuously travel from one town to another to catch more Pokémon in the wild, fight trainers, and defeat Gym Leaders, This gameplay which prove that they are capable of anything makes these games worth it to me. Playing their Pokemon games is a challenging experience and one that is further enjoyed as players progress and are determined to become stronger to be a top trainer.

The journey that starts with obtaining a starter Pokémon from whichever generation and game--and its specifics too--and having to travel all over a region just so you will become stronger is an inviting challenge that should be welcomed with a sense of ambition. That is what the game fosters as you progress. You will have your first Pokémon with you but have the opportunity to catch as many as you can out in the wild--even though only six can be kept on hand. It is up to you to train them and make them the strongest they can be. It's always good to keep the ones who will lead you to victory because a shared win creates a unique bond between Trainer and Pokémon. It is up to every player to play in whichever way they feel comfortable with, making the journey an all-out fun time nonetheless. Remember, play in a way that resonates with you and just prove yourself to everyone who comes in your way that you are unstoppable.

We all want to know what will come next in our quest. Who will we come across? What Pokémon will we catch? When will there be an open challenge coming our way to fight a trainer or gym leader? Where can we find items that are needed to help our Pokémon feel better and make them stronger too? The answers we seek come our way as we continue to move through every town in the game. There is always something going on so it makes complete sense to play the game right and with enthusiasm till the very end.

It is how you start that matters. That is what the Pokémon handheld games taught me as I played to the very end. It is because of GameFreak that I got to experience what it's like to have my own Pokémon and create a bond that it is impeccable. I cannot thank the developers enough for the experience their Pokémon games gave me.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
