Bring the hit musical into your wardrobe

Lin-Manuel Miranda has blessed us with Hamilton, Broadway musical and hip-hop sensation that has swept not only through America but through the rest of the world. I personally have been a fan for about a year now, and I love to introduce more people to my fandom.

This week I had a thought: "How can I subtly introduce some Hamilton fashion into my wardrobe?" So I jumped onto my Polyvore account and went crazy, and then I thought wouldn't my fellow HamFam want to know to?

So here you go:

Five Looks Inspired By Hamilton

And suddenly I'm Helpless...

This look is inspired by Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton's song "Helpless" in the first Act. It is about how Eliza falls in love with Alexander. This look is very flirty and girly. The hairstyle is a lace braid that goes into a side braid.

And PEGGY!

This look is based on Peggy Schuyler, the youngest of the Schuyler sisters. (FUN FACT: Peggy's name wasn't actually Peggy, it was actually Margaret, or Margarita)

She is witty and fun, so I tried to translate it into her style. A yellow dress in honor of her costume in the show, paired with pretty turquoise accessories. The hairstyle is lovely curls with the top sectioned off and put into a bun.

Don't change the subject, 'cause you're my favorite subject...

The next look is based on the real star of the show, King George III. He is sassy and very glamorous, so therefore this look is super fancy. A fur coat in honor of his royal robe, red pants, and LOTS of glitter. The hairstyle is quite easy to do, just curl your hair, bundle it up with pins, and add a fancy hairpiece.

America's Favorite Fighting Frenchman!

LAFAYETTE!! This stylish Frenchman loves revolution and when France didn't want to jump into a war he went over to America to see if he could pick some fights. He quickly became friends with Hamilton and later fought with them in the Revolution.

The hairstyle is greatly influenced by actor Daveed Diggs. Most of us don't have hair quite as magnificent as his, so we have to make do with a bun, and I just added a gold chain.

oh yes, "One more thing!"

Young, Scrappy, and Hungry

It would be a crime if I didn't include A.Ham in this list, and he would come back from the grave to challenge me to a duel if he saw King George III is here and not him, so here we go.

Alexander Hamilton was very ambitious during his life so I thought to go with business attire. The hairstyle is actually very simple and easy to do. Just tease the top and smooth the sides anchoring it with a bobby pin.

Will you be trying these styles? Do you have other requests for me to do? Let me know in the comments.

Christmas Tree

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
