Effects of Halloweek can be brutal but extremely worth it.
Some of us like Halloween and others don’t, we live for it.
We love it so much that a whole WEEK, not WEEKEND is consumed with costumes and time with friends.
Walking to class you hear convos like, “what are you wearing tonight?” and “where will you be going?”
Everyone asks around for costumes, gets ready together, and it is like one giant Halloween party.
Whether you're dressed up as a ghost, bunny, cop, or something extra scary, we go out and run the neighborhood.
Dress how you want to dress on Halloween week, because no one should judge or be judged.
Also, your costume is not your consent.
Just because a girl or guy is in a “skimpy” or “sexual” costume does not give you permission to assume they want sexual relations with you.
We are all here for a good time and to get along with each other.
Although Halloween is an amazing time, there are so many people here it is a crowded time for us.
Rain or shine we are getting trick or treat-y.
When I say everyone is here I do mean everyone, from every college within the area.
We are invaded and consumed by people that don't know our streets or places and they wander about the night.
Not only are the streets packed but procrastination sets in big time.
You think that you have planned out your week and are going the get everything on your list done.
Sure that’s a plausible goal.
Sadly, it will become nowhere near accomplished.
Everything revolves around Halloween and we are all thinking about our costumes more than our essays and group projects.
Make sure you at least think about your homework while you’re putting on your Angel costume.
Brainstorm the things that you will be doing at 1 AM before they are due.
You can dress like pretty much anything you want.
But here are some costume don'ts :
DON’T BE HARLEY QUINN
everyone will be her…
DO NOT wear white shoes, they will be trampled by mud and will need to be thrown away.
If you wear a body suit, get ready to have many wardrobe malfunctions.
Make sure you have a secure outfit and keep in mind that things can shift while you get down on the dance floor.
A simple costume is to be a cat or bunny, but just remember you will run into about ten cats and bunnies.
Be prepared to receive many text messages, Facebook messages, and Twitter dms from people back home asking if they can stay with you.
It will happen.
Let them come but be aware that you will be responsible for their actions, and their whereabouts in the night.
Get together with your friends and dress up and match them too.
Because there are so many people out, it is important to stay in groups.
Use the buddy system, and don't forget to take cute pictures together.
and most of all, Be safe :)
