HALLOWEEN IS A WEEK AWAY!! Bring out the costumes and some Halloween themed snacks to prepare yourself for Halloween movie watching. Whether you're a big Halloween buff, or midterms/busy schedules are getting you down and you need to blow off some steam, there's a collection of Halloween movies out there for your viewing. Some of the best movies, though aren't any of the new horror movies. Instead the best Halloween movies comes from our childhood and bring back all the memories. Here's a list to help get you in the Halloween mood!
1. Halloweentown
This movie (and the three movies that follow) with Marnie, her mother and grandmother, and her siblings was classic Disney Channel Original Movies back in the day. Bringing these four back every Halloween is a tradition that should keep happening. It's even bigger than Disney Channel itself because other channels, like Free Form, play these movies. Watch Marnie grow up (and be re-casted) and train to be a witch, help her grandmother defeat something dark and evil in Halloweentown.
2. Hocus Pocus
The Sanderson sisters are also a classic to watch during Halloween. They bring all the sass and witchery to TV and you'll never be sorry you watched it. It's honestly, one of the best choices to watch if you need to get into the Halloween mood. They'll bring much needed laughter and drama to your life.
3. The Nightmare Before Christmas
This is a great movie to watch literally all year long, but specifically during Halloween (and Christmas). Tim Burton's movies always are a good choice to watch in the fall. Other Halloween classics from him are: The Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie, and Coraline. You can never go wrong with Tim Burton movies or Nightmare Before Christmas in general.
4. It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
This movie is probably the most classic on the list to watch this Halloween season. Around since 1966, this movie has gotten families in the Halloween season for generations. It's something all millennials should definitely watch every year. When they one day (if they want to) have kids, it should be something they share with them, too.
5. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Not a Halloween movie, per se, but an excellent choice to watch around this spooky holiday. It brings mystery, magic, and friendship to a whole new level and it's never a bad day to start the Harry Potter movies all over again. The best scene for the Halloween season is the "Trooooollll in the Dungeon." It'll bring great drama to your screen.
