Halloween: High School vs. College

Your high school Halloween memories might be more scary than the actual holiday.

For some, Halloween is the best holiday of the year. Others would rather do without this haunted occasion. Nonetheless, it is a great excuse to have a good time. One thing is for sure: Halloween is much different in college than it was in high school.

High School: Goes to a party on October 31st.

College: Parties on October 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st.

High School: I want to look cute, but not too sexy.

College: The less fabric, the better.

High School: Free candy? No thanks, I’m not a little kid anymore.

College: Free candy? Hell to the yes. One does not simply turn down free food.

High School: Spends $40 at Halloween store with mom’s money.

College: Spends $0 by ravaging through friend’s closets.

High School: Haunted house every weekend of October!

College: Hangovers are scary enough for me.

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.
