What are you doing for Halloween

Halloween
Plus Quotes

I love Halloween. I love the pumpkins, the bats, the ghouls and ghosts. The way it's kind if dark but also can be enthusiastically celebrated. I love seeing the lights in the dark. It's like having stars in the sky directly in front of you. It's utterly beautiful.

I literally wait 364 days a year for Halloween, and I wait 334 days a year for the month of October. I live for Halloween. A lot of people say that Halloween is the day where you can dress up in costumes and be someone other than yourself. That may be true, but I believe that it's the day where you can be yourself without restraints. It's the day where you don't care about what others think about you and just let go. You can wear what you want, and not care about it. You can dress up as your favorite fandom, or your favorite book character and really be who you want to be. I'm an avid believer that we connect most with fictional characters who we share traits with, whether or not we realize it. So if you were a huge fan of Natasha Romanova also known as Black Widow, and you wanted to dress up as her for Halloween. You could be a shy kid, but Natasha represent being a women whose strong, confident, and knows what she wants. That could be another side of yourself that you just haven't discovered yet.

But even if it's not, isn't it just fun to dress up? Even it it's as a joke? Halloween is so mystical, mysterious, energizing, unique, and not to mention...THE FREE CANDY! It's the one time of year where you can knock on doors, get candy, and when you go home have buckets of candy, and eating it all is totally acceptable! Also for those of you who can't wait for April first to start pranking people, Halloween gives you the option of receiving a treat or dishing out a trick. It's the best of both worlds.

Like things spooky? Well Halloween is also full of horrors. Haunted houses that'll make you scream. You enter the house and you think everything is going to be fine... But suddenly you hear a creek... then you hear a bang... Clunk... Thud... You sudden hear a screech... and suddenly you feel a cold breeze, a hand touches your shoulder and you suddenly turn around only to see someone with an axe. Yeah, if you want a good scare, a giant house will definitely give you one. Next the thousands of horror films at your disposal, and people dressing up as the creepiest things that will have you shaking in your boots. The classics like Saw, Nightmare on Elms Street, and Friday the thirteenth. There are so many scary movies out there that there will definitely be one out there to scare you. Not to mention that there are the Halloween ghost stories that will keep you awake for weeks. Of course you can listen to them any time of year, but listening to them on Halloween gives you more of a chill.

So Halloween is for everyone. It's for kids and adults, you can celebrate it however you want. Dress up, dress down, see a horror film, visit a haunted house or the forest of fears, or even just read a terrifying story. I love Halloween for so many reasons. Do you love Halloween? Or do you hate it? Do you not care? That's all up to you, but Halloween is right around the corner and I know what I will be doing on that day. Do you?

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
