A Halloween Drinking Game

Halloween: a night to remember, but one you'll probably forget.

A Halloween Drinking Game

Cue the pumpkins, fog machines, and scary ghost decorations because Halloween is finally approaching! For kids, Halloween is the greatest night of the year as it’s their one chance to load up on sugar and not get in trouble for it. For adults, it’s a time to put a bucket of candy outside their front door with a note reading, “Don’t ring bell! No one’s home.” Yet for college kids, it’s a whole different story.

Instead of Halloween being just a one-night event, in college it’s actually a weeklong celebration. Did you think you only needed one costume? Ha, think again because it’s more like five. With so much preparation involved, it’s no wonder why everyone wants to have a drink (or probably more than that) on actual Halloween night. So, for all of you who are 21 out there, here’s a Halloween drinking game to follow on the evening of Oct. 31.

Take three shots every time you see a girl in disco shorts or disco pants. Brace yourself on this one, because you’ll probably be seeing these around every corner.

Do a 10-second chug from your drink every time you see someone dressed as a cat. This includes cat ears, a cat shirt, or just simple whiskers drawn on their face.

Take a sip from your drink when you hear someone say, “OMG I love your costume!”

Take two more sips from your drink when you hear someone say, “I know I’m being basic, but I didn’t have anything to wear so I said screw it and just threw this together really fast.”

Finish your drink completely when you hear someone ask, “So, what are you?” This way you’ll be drunk enough to not even care that someone couldn’t recognize your costume.

Take a shot every time you see a girl in an oversized T-shirt with white high tops on.

Take a sip every time you see someone in a beanie.

Take a sip every time you see someone wearing a flannel. This includes it being worn either around their waist or as a shirt.

Do a five-second chug when you see someone wearing knee high socks.

Take two shots when you see someone dressed in the same costume as you.

Take a sip when you see a boy dressed as a frat star.

Take a sip every time you see a boy shirtless.

Take a sip for every time you see a girl wearing their hair in the Ariana Grande updo. If you don’t know what I mean by this, Google will clarify it for you.

Take a shot every time you see two people doing a couple/duo outfit.

Get another drink when you realize how much you love Halloween and how much you’re going to hate your hangover on Nov. 1.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
