Halloween is NOT just my favorite holiday. I wait. All. Darn. Year for October 31st. I live, sleep, breathe, and bleed Halloween.

I'm not a "basic" white girl. To be completely honest, I really don't enjoy the season of fall. I don't like being cold, I don't like rain, I don't like when the leaves fall off the trees and get all stuck to the bottom of your shoes, I don't like pumpkin spice lattes. I, in general, do not enjoy the fall season. But I still look forward to it every year. Simply put, because I love Halloween. Almost more than my entire life.

I love being able to stay up late even if the holiday falls on a Monday. I love being able to eat any candy I want to and no one can judge me for it. I love dressing up. I spend multiple hours every year constructing and building my own perfect costumes. I love funny costumes and couple costumes and whatever I can think of. Being unique is what I am all about, and you better bet that my costume will be the cutest on the block.

I love that it is a holiday you don't need to fuss about. Christmas involves way too much time setting the table and being in the kitchen in order to please family members that will probably ask you about the boyfriend you don't have at least 14 times. New Year's Eve is all about finding someone to kiss at midnight, even if you haven't kissed anyone since "Spin the Bottle" at a middle school birthday party. Valentine's Day is pretty much a day to feel depressed by yourself if you don't have a significant other to spend it with. Halloween is just a day to dress up, eat some chocolate, watch a scary movie, or party your heart out. No one really cares what you spend Halloween doing, as long as you have a fun night!

I love Halloween music! You know the memes that go around Facebook complaining that stores are playing Christmas music and it's only the middle of October? Well, Halloween really doesn't have that problem. Halloween music isn't really specifically FOR Halloween. You can listen to Thriller or Ghostbusters any other time of the year and people won't judge you for it. But if you go on a run listening to "All I Want for Christmas is You" in your earbuds and screaming out along your route, people are gonna stare at you like you have three heads. Plus, Halloween music isn't nearly as annoying as "Jingle Bells."

I love being scared! The eerie feeling that takes over the neighborhood once the sun goes down is basically my version of cocaine. Visiting a haunted house or going for a creepy corn maze is always on my October bucket list.

While I do admit to not taking in the fall beauty as much as the next girl, I do admit to being the queen of Halloween. Give me some candy, let me carve a pumpkin, and jump out of the shadows to make me scream.

I love everything about October 31st.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
