Half Way There
Daily Nurse

So I'm half way through my first nursing course ever and a couple things are going through my mind. We just got our grades back from the second test and I'm feeling pretty confident. The first test went alright, I kind of hoped for a better grade but what's done is done, you can't change the past. The second test was more material, but I was able to get a better grade on the second test which is why my confidence is boosted. Its great not having to stress for a couple more weeks and just relax, especially since I did good on the second test. If I continue to approve I will pass the class no problem and will be able to move on with the rest of the class into the next nursing class. The only overwhelming thing is that next semester we have to take three nursing classes. Now that's a little overwhelming because we've only had one before. Now we have to balance three nursing classes as well as three regular classes. It's going to be a challenge but its a challenge I'm willing to accept. All in all the class is going well I'm doing my best and that's all that I can ask myself. Can I do better yes and I plan to. Hopefully by the end of the semester I can get a B in the class and my GPA will be great once again. Enough to make Dean's List. I will continue to work hard because I want this so bad and I can't see myself doing anything else.

On the Upper East Side, Blair Waldorf is an icon. She's what every girl aspires to be. She's beautiful, confident, and can handle any obstacle that life throws at her. Sure, she may just be a television character. But for me, she's a role model and theres a lot that can be learned from Queen B.

“I just want you to know that you’re very special… and the only reason I’m telling you is that I don’t know if anyone else ever has.”

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
