16 Signs You Found The half that makes you whole

In This Article:

Falling in love is awesome in all honesty. It's more than just something you see; it's something that you feel. It's something primitive and mystifying. That's probably why there are millions of movies, novels, and television shows that showcase - pun intended - the beauty and never ceasing passion of true love. But, love and romance isn't always butterfly kisses and flowers. It's learning to live life with and grow with someone other than yourself. Here are 16 signs you have found that person - and no, they aren't things you typically see on daytime television.

1. Car rides turn into concerts

Whether it's a fifteen minute trip to the grocery store of a five hour drive to your favorite vacation spot, the tunes are on point and so are the vocals - i.e. you! Someone says three hour car ride, you two say three hour live concert!

2. Board games are intense affairs

Whether you two are playing Monopoly, Clue, or Connect Four, a fist fight is in the horizon. Sure, you may act like it isn't a big deal when you land on their Boardwalk, but you're secretly contemplating throwing them out a window. And that's honestly okay. It only adds to the fun of it really.

3. The only cheating is done with Netflix

Nothing is worse than when you come home from a long day at work or school to find that they had finished a season of your favorite Netflix series without you! But this is as far as the betrayal gets. Sadly, this is potentially the most heart-breaking.

4. Date night involves comfy pants

Who needs to glam up in uncomfortable clothes just to go grab a bite of expensive food? Not you, that's for sure! Why not pop a $6.50 pizza in the oven an rent a movie? Or spend the evening playing video/board games? Or just relax and enjoy some quality time together? Sure, dressing up can be fun, but dressing down can be even more fun.

5. They become your #1 fan

No matter what your goal, they always have your back. They don't judge you for your dreams, but root you on from the sideline. They're your biggest fan and number one supporter, and you wouldn't have it any other way.

6. You become family

You may not be comfortable enough to call their mom "Mom," but that's completely okay. It may come to you, and it may not. But regardless of names - or nicknames - their family has a special place in your heart, and there is no denying it.

7. Goofing off is your favorite activity

Who else would you be able to do all the weird stuff you secretly enjoy doing with? 'Nuff said.

8. They get on your nerves

https://personal-interest-in-you.tumblr.com/post/8...

25% of being in love with someone is not killing them, even though you kind of really want to. That is totally okay, though. Being in love is hard.

9. They still give you butterflies

https://giphy.com/christimmons/

No matter how often you see them or how long you have been together, they still can send your stomach flitting with a silly grin or cheesy compliment. It's ridiculous, I know, but it's true and really amazing.

10. Grocery shopping is a real adventure

https://www.tumblr.com

Finding toilet paper two for the price of one is honestly the highlight of your day. It's even better when its with them. Wandering the aisles used to be a bore, but now it isn't too bad. Heck, you may even enjoy it.

11. Silence isn't awkward

https://giphy.com/gifs/originals-crickets-l2R013mIf1ZXdvoyI

Talking constantly doesn't necessarily mean communicating. Silence in itself can speak thousands of words. Even if nothing is being "said" in that silence, it isn't weird - and I'm talking awkward first date weird - because it's as soft silence, not hard and intimidating.

12. The only lingerie you need is your own PJs

https://giphy.com/cramin/

Sure, looking sexy is nice and all, but what really matters is that you're comfortable enough - and still feel attractive - in your comfiest pajamas. Nothing comes from a relationship where you're only sexy in sexy clothes. They've got to love you no matter what you're wearing.

13. No topic is off limits

https://giphy.com/emmys/

No matter what the topic, it is never off limits between you two. As they say, sharing is caring. But your sharing has no limits.

14. Nobody's goals are more important

https://giphy.com/ufc

There is no one goal that is more important than another. You realize that you are both individual people with individual goals. That's fine, great even! Living life alongside someone is challenging enough, even more so if you two are butting heads about what you want. That's why when you find the one, leveling the playing field will come naturally. They'll want the absolute best for you and vice versa.

15. They're genuinely your best friend

https://www.reddit.com/r/gifs/comments/1ismdr/my_reaction_as_an_american_when_watching_pacific/

Of course, it's cliche as heck, but it is completely true. When something amazing happens, they're the first person you want to turn to, and likewise with the bad. They're your confidant and partner in crime. If they're the one, you can't imagine life without them.

16. Loving them is fun

https://www.reddit.com/r/TrollXChromosomes/comments/42a7yp/mrw_i_made_this_account_just_to_sell_panties_but

One of the most important things to me - apart from #15, of course. Loving them shouldn't be strenuous or taxing. It should bring light to your life and a smile to your face. Don't force something that isn't there. Don't try to make something work that isn't meant to. When you find the one, you'll know.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
