I got my hair cut at the end of January. I didn't just get a little trim or a few inches cut off. My hair went from this:

To THIS:

As someone currently going through and having gone through these stages myself, I want to take you through the whole entire cycle of getting a hair cut. To help me paint a better picture, I decided: "what better way to help explain it than to use examples from America's favorite high school club", "Glee".

Stage One: The decision

In the beginning, you decide that it's time for a change. Like Kurt, you are very excited about what this new change will bring for you. So excited it makes you want to dance in your seat while it's happening. But don't do that, you need to stay still!

Stage 2: Feeling Fresh

Right after you get it cut, you totally love it. Everyone is complementing you on how good it looks and how it suits your facial structure, or how mature it has made you look. "Look good, feel good" is the theme here.

Stage 3: Stylin'

A few days or weeks go by and you decide that you want to style your hair. You begin to style it and then you realize that your hair is too short to curl, or wave, or put in a ponytail. You can do NOTHING with it. Which causes a lot of this:

And let's not forget this:

Stage 4: Routine

After a few months, you begin to figure out how to style it again so it actually looks good. Your hair is growing out again, so you're a little bit more happier about that.

Stage 5: Regret

Then it gets to the point where the weather is getting warmer, or you're going to a special event, and you want a certain hairstyle. You begin to get impatient because it is taking FOREVER for your hair to grow to that length.

Yes Rachel, I totally understand your frustration.

Stage 6: Just right

Months have gone by and your hair has grown even more. You begin to like the length your hair is at now, and you begin to experiment more with styling your hair to make it look even more amazing than it did before.

Stage 7: Repeat?!

Time passes and you get bored with your hair yet again. Your hair at this point is probably back to the length that you started out with and you decide that it's time for another change...and with that, the cycle begins once more.

Creating your schedule for the upcoming semester can be an exciting process. You have the control to decide if you want to have class two-days a week or five-days a week. You get to check things off of your requirement checklist. It's an opportunity for a fresh start with new classes (which you tell yourself you'll never skip.) This process, which always starts out so optimistic, can get frustrating really quickly. Here are 25 thoughts you have when registering for classes.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:
