Hair is such a process. No matter if your hair is long, short, curly, or straight it can all be a process. Sometimes it can become frustrating. I have had plenty of time I just wanted to cut off my hair and restart. Then there have been times that I wanted my hair to be the trendsetter. At the end of the day, I'm still learning a lot about my hair and how to properly take care of it. Here are a few things I have learned that can work for everyone's hair...
1. DEEP CONDITION

Deep conditioning is so important when it comes to taking care of your hair. When you deep condition your hair it helps with making your hair soft, moisturized. and strong. You can deep condition with your favorite conditioner. Personally, I noticed that when I deep condition my hair it helps restore some parts that may be damaged and I intensely see a transformation.
2. Say goodbye to heat!

I know this may sound like a cliche but it is very true. Try to stay away from heat. Trust me, I am the first person to run to a flat iron or a straighter when something with my hair doesn't go right. Heat is so damaging, yes the outcome may be pretty but think about the long-term result of using heat.
Crispy, damaged, hair, and no one wants that. Something that helped me stay away from heat for a while was just hiding everything that could hurt my hair, I would always hide it in a spot I knew I wouldn't remember. Just remember, long-term results are better than short term.
3. No more dead ends

As we all may know it is very important to let go of any dead ends. When you get rid of dead ends it helps your hair grow and keeps it healthy. Now, I'm not saying you have to cut off 20 inches, but letting go of dead ends is only going to help you. If you have curls, or you want your hair to growl its important to let go of any ends that do not have a curl pattern to it. I know sometimes this is hard, but again think of long-term, not short term.
4. Confidence

Confidence is so important when it comes to hair. Sometimes we're scared to try different hairstyles because we don't know how they'll turn out, if its cool, etc. That's normal but if you don't try different hairstyles you'll never know which ones you like. Be a trendsetter, do a hairstyle no else has tried. I guarantee if you start a hairstyle trend you'll see two other people with the same hairstyle.
Just remember, IT'S JUST HAIR! it will grow back, it will look cute, it will be a trendsetter. Your hair is not what makes you, you make you. You're going to have bad hair days sometimes which is okay. If your hair looks absolutely terrible on a certain day you better carry your head high and make it the best bad hair day! Everyone's journey is different, don't base your hair off of someone else. As long as your hair is healthy and you are confident, that's all that matters when it comes to hair.
