I’m all about low maintenance looks. If it takes me more than twenty minutes to do – count me out.

Don’t get me wrong, I love looking my best, but sometimes (all the time) it just really isn’t plausible to spend 2+ hours getting ready every single day, especially while in school.

AND NYFW FINALLY GETS IT.

Maybe someone is finally taking nods from the college girl go-to of unwashed hair and chapstick-as-a-lipstick? IDK. Whatever inspired this trend – I’m running with it and not looking back.

All of these looks I'm about to show you - you literally don't have to do anything to achieve. Except maybe put some vaseline on your lips, can you handle that? I think you can.

So sleep in, roll out of bed, and still look trendy AF at the same time.

Unwashed locks at 3.1 Phillip Lim

I'm not encouraging you to not shower, but if you want to not wash your hair for three days, Phillip Lim's runway said it was okay.

Leftover liner at Narciso Rodriguez

Went to the bar last night? Slept in your makeup? Didn't really care enough to wipe it off the next morning? Nailed it.

Chunky headbands at Creatures of the Wind

Minus the gigantic earrings, this is a pretty accurate depiction of what I look like post-washing my face in the morning - except that my headbands are Scunci and were purchased in a 5-pack at Target.

Vaseline Lips at Michael Kors

Supposedly this girl is only wearing bronzer on her face and vaseline on her lips and lids *eye roll*. I said these looks were easy to replicate, but I didn't guarantee you were going to look like the models.

Remember all those times you didn't really care enough to get ready? You were setting trends and you didn't even know it.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
