I know it feels like it is impossible to improve your grades without losing your mind and giving up your social life. Believe me, it’s not! All it takes is a little bit of effort and new habits. You got this!
- Participate in every class. Try to make your presence prominent in every class. This might be asking your professor to elaborate on something or even sitting towards the front and making eye contact. Don’t be the student who always has their hand up but do contribute as much as possible.
- Take notes with a pen and a notebook. This is a great way to force yourself to pay more attention because you can’t just open a new tab and scroll through Twitter every once in a while.
- Try to make sure your professor remembers your name. Don’t be annoying but do participate enough so that when your professor is giving you your final grade, he doesn’t need to scratch his head trying to figure out who you are.
- Proof-read all your work. Proofread anything that you turn in to your professors, whether it is an emai, a homework assignment or a pop quiz. Just simply reading something twice will make a huge difference!
- Keep track of all due dates and deadlines. This one goes without saying! GET THE WORK DONE!
