I’m Sorry Ladies, But Going To The Gym Is Way Better Than Shopping

The gym benefits your mind and body, I don't see how shopping does that.

I’m Sorry Ladies, But Going To The Gym Is Way Better Than Shopping

Okay so if anyone knows and sees me, yes I'm a chunky monkey and there is no way to deny it. However, I am in the process of changing that, because I want to live for a hot minute (despite wanting to get hit by a bus so my tuition is paid).

Since the beginning mid-August I've been going to the campus gym 2-4 times a week, yes I said a week, not a month. I know some girls that will head out clothing stores more times than that.

Maybe I don't like shopping because not many stores don't offer plus-size clothing, and I just don't face disappointment. Even then when I do go shopping I go overboard sometimes. I feel that with the gym I can go overboard without my wallet being dry, I may feel sore, but I will still have money in my pocket.

Not only that, the gym is enjoyable for many reasons, it works the body to give it the dream body you want, it lets out your anger towards the world without hurting anyone, and despite the pain, it is relaxing for the body. It gives you great satisfaction with the pain of knowing that you are closer to your goal and it is a great hobby to take on without spending money (other than the gym membership).

The gym is the only place where you can learn to be better, I don't see how shopping in a world-class boutique can benefit you as a person, all I see is expensive over-priced clothes. I don't see how people enjoy shopping when there is a way to feel satisfaction and lose weight to get into better clothes at the same time. I may be wrong, but I do think that the gym is better than shopping on any day of the week.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
