Streaming websites have become increasingly more popular in recent years, and with good reason. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and other sites provide a never-ending supply of TV shows and movies to watch for any occasion. It's easy to get caught up in a series, and it's even easier to just keep watching episode after episode to procrastinate doing any work. If you're going to do that, make sure it's at least for the right show. In no particular order, here are some of my favorites to get you started.
1. "Gilmore Girls."
Recommended for you
With Lorelai's wit, Rory's relationship troubles, and the comic stylings of the rest of the Stars Hollow citizens, this show has something for everyone.
2. "How I Met Your Mother."
All I can say is, prepare yourself for the ending.
3. "Parks and Recreation."
I haven't finished this series yet, but the character of Ron Swanson is very relatable and Amy Poehler is good at everything she does.
4. "Gossip Girl."
This is one that takes a while to get into, but once you start getting attached to Chuck and Blair there's no going back.
5. "Grey's Anatomy."
Prepare your heart for a long, bumpy ride because this show will make you feel things you didn't know you could feel.
6. "House."
Another medical show, but this one is great because of two things: House's personality and the actual educational value it has.
7. "Scrubs."
Yet another medical show, but this one is just funny. J.D. and Turk are bromance goals.
8. "90210."
This might be one of the worst shows, but it's addictive because of how bad it is.
9. "One Tree Hill."
Another one that takes a few episodes to really get into, but once you really get into it it'll be one of your absolute favorite shows.
10. "The Office."
Admittedly, I haven't see very much of this show. I've seen enough to know that it makes the list, though.
11. "Friends."
An oldie, but a goodie.
12. "The Carrie Diaries."
This show mostly just made the list because of Austin Butler's presence.
13. "That '70s Show."
Another classic that will always be good.
14. "Young & Hungry."
Emily Osment has come a long way since her "Hannah Montana" days. This is a great comedy.
15. "The Vampire Diaries."
Last, but not least is my guilty pleasure show. "The Vampire Diaries" can get repetitive, plot-wise, but it's so dramatic that you just can't stop watching.
