Tom Brady has always been a prominent figure on the football field and one who has always dominated the league. He has broken many records, won many Super Bowls and lead many different teams, but a mistake cost him the first four games of the 2016 NFL season. He argued and argued about the legitimacy of the claims against him that stated he played a part in the deflated balls in the 2015 AFC Championship game against the Colts. It was all to no avail, as the Quarterback out of Michigan was forced to stand down and accept his four-game suspension after almost year-long fight. Brady served that suspension at the beginning of this season, a span in which the Patriots backup quarterbacks filled the void and went 3-1. But that suspension is up and we once again are all witnesses to one of the best quarterbacks ever, Tom Brady.
Brady took the field against the Browns two Sundays ago and made it look like he had been playing for the past four games. He was in true mid-season form, even though it was only the Browns, and made it known that he was back and ready to go. The Patriots QB threw for 406 yards and 3 TDs in his first game back and even Browns fans were cheering for him. Some may have said it was a fluke, but Brady came out again yesterday and dominated the Bengals defense, as well. He threw for 376 yards and 3 TDs in that game and now has 6 TDs on the season. It seems like this Tom Brady might have a little fire in his eye.
People around the country had a feeling that Brady wanted to come back with a vengeance after being beaten by the commissioner and the NFL, but no one knew exactly how it would turn out. It seems that they were right as Brady has been literally on fire in the last two games and, even as a person who did not like Brady much before this year, I respect what he has done and have been excited by it. He said you may have won the battle, but I will win the war and he looks like he is on his way to another Super Bowl with his 5-1 Patriots, who are firing on all cylinders right now. The question that remains is how the rest of the season will turn out.
The team plays at Pittsburgh and at Buffalo the next two games, which seem like they might be a little tougher, but I can't see the Patriots losing to a Ben Roethlisberger-less team and I definitely cannot see them losing to the Bills twice this season. Their next game is at home versus Seattle, which, even though at home, I can see them losing. But for the rest of the season, the only tough test is Denver on the road. It seems like Brady will continue his high form throughout the season, with not many obstacles in the way, and it will be another amazing performance by the Patriots and Tom Brady this year.
He's back and just as good as ever before, which is the scariest part.
